Community leaders from Bembe and Kanziro parishes held a community dialogue which took place in Kanziro parish at Bugimba primary school in Namayumba sub-county in Wakiso district. These were taught about the cause, effects and dangers of child marriages both to girls and boys. They were also taught about the laws against child marriages by the constitution of Uganda to use it and protect children from the vice. They formed a child protection committee to fight against child marriages and teenage pregnancies in Namayumba sub-county, Wakiso district. Leaders included the teachers, parents, women councilors, local authorities from LC1, LC11, LC111, CDO and others.
